Post Class Reflection 3

 I was excited to attend today's class as last few classes were very interesting and also because today was my turn to present. Today's class started with the teacher playing a video on how the internet works. I liked how the video was so simple yet so descriptive. After the video, we got to know about the acrostic poem.

The class then forwarded with a presentation on ‘Scientific Journal Article’ by Ashok’s group. They explained about introduction, scope, history, method, publishing process, types of articles, cost, copyright, importance of scientific articles and conclusion. I learnt that a scientific journal is a periodical publication intended to further the progress of science, usually by reporting new research. To be honest, the presentation was a little boring. The slides were filled with texts and the presenters were simply reading what was on the slide.

After this, it was out turn to present. I, along with, Ashutosh presented on ‘To know a fly’ by Vincent Dethier. Our presentation was based on Toulmin’s Model. The argumentation was a properly conducted experiment is a beautiful thing. The most commonly committed scientific sin is the lack of proper experimental control.The result obtained by an experiment must be consequences of the specific alteration and not of some other coincidental one. We finished the presentation smoothly but were caught off guard by the question for a while.

Today's class lasted longer than usual but it was equally interesting and fun class as the classes before.

Post Class Reflection 2

Today's class started with attending a quiz organized by the teacher in Quizizz. The quiz was named “ Informational Text Structure ”. I was a little late to attend the quiz at the very beginning. The quiz was fun and quite easy too. To my dismay, I won the quiz despite starting late. After the quiz, we discussed about assessment plans and presentation plans. After this discussion, Amir and his group presented on ‘ Project Proposal ’. They explained about the proposal, the purpose of writing proposal, its types, features of a good proposal. They also explained how important it is for students in the academic fields. I learnt that a p roject proposal is a detailed document about a project that has to be explained to the outside contributors to get their approval for the project which can be mainly for their financial support or can be for academic purpose. Post Class Reflection 5

  Today's class started right on time. Immediately after joining our class, our teacher stated that we would do some collaborative works via Google Docs but after facing some technical errors we had to abandon the idea. I was sure that this would be a fun thing to do but sometimes we indeed run out of luck. Shortly after, classmates- Swarnim, Anish and Bishal started presenting on ‘Incident Report’. The presentation slide was very attractive and it was apparent that they have given some effort to the presentation. I learnt that an incident report is a tool that documents any event that may or may not have caused injuries to a person or damage to a company asset. I also got to know that it is used to capture injuries and accidents, near misses, property and equipment damage, health and safety issues, security breaches and misconducts in the worksite.
